After your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a Sense of Africa Uganda representative and are transferred to your hotel.

The Boma Hotel is Entebbe’s original and most exclusive hotel, set in tropical gardens in a leafy suburb, a few minutes drive from Entebbe International Airport. The rooms combine the modern comforts one expects today with the charm and character of the original 1940’s home.

After breakfast, the tour departs for Murchison Falls National Park, about a 5 hour drive. Inspired by the breathtaking splendour of the wild landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park and the history and culture of the Bunyoro region of Uganda, Kabalega Wilderness Lodge is uniquely located adjacent to one of the biggest natural reserves in Uganda. It comprises of individual safari cabins spread throughout 7 acres on the banks of the River Nile.

Kabalega Wilderness lodge derives its name from Omukama (King) Chwa II Kabalega, who was considered the greatest king in the history of Uganda. The lodge is a tribute to this great king and the people and culture of Bunyoro. Enjoy an evening game drive.

The following day, you will take a morning game drive in the park. Lunch will be served at the lodge and then enjoy a boat trip on the River Nile, followed by an afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, you will leave in the early morning for the drive to the Kibale Forest Park, about 7 hours. The park which is home to some 13 species of primates including the red colobus, chimpanzee, and L’Hoest’s monkey, as well as 70 mammal species.

Primate Lodge Kibale’s main highlight is their location, tucked deep in the forest and right next door to the starting point for chimpanzee tracking excursions. All of the 9 spacious and en-suite luxury cottages are each situated deep in the forest for maximum privacy and a natural ‘living in nature’ feel, with an adjoining large veranda with excellent views to the forest. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

After a briefing, embark on chimp tracking in the Kibale Forest National Park, which takes about 2-3 hours. During the trek, you can see other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys, along with red-tailed and blue monkeys. Expert guides share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the hike is both informative and enjoyable.

In the afternoon, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park (about 3 hours) past volcanic crater lakes, and on a clear day, you can see the ‘Mountains of the Moon’, the Rwenzori Mountains. Guests then enjoy a late afternoon game drive.

Parkview Safari Lodge is located on the outskirts of Queen Elizabeth National Park, with panoramic views of the “medley of wonders” and capturing the beauty of the park in a most memorable way. The building style is a combination of modern and local materials, opening up to the wilderness beyond. The lodge reflects true African ambience and hospitality, providing comfort to our esteemed guests.

The following day, after an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the late afternoon is a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that is 32km long. This water system has the highest concentration of hippos in the world and we will get quite close to them. Guests can expect to see crocodiles, buffalo and other game that drink from the channel, and also marvel at the abundant birdlife that is supported here.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Four Gorilla Lodge, about 6 hours, which is the base for gorilla tracking. Four Gorillas Lodge consists of 8 spacious, comfortable rooms that provides a cozy, homely atmosphere.

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) is a sanctuary for colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds. It is most notable for half of the world’s population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas.

After breakfast, embark on the gorilla trek. Before 8am, you will report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the rangers. The guides will then lead guests through the forest to track the gorillas.

The trek can take anywhere from half an hour to 7 hours and a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking boots. It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rainforest with the last remaining mountain gorillas.

Exactly one hour is allowed with the gorillas before returning to the base station.

Enjoy an early breakfast before your transfer to the Kisoro Airport for a scheduled flight to Entebbe International airport. Transfers to international terminal for outbound flight.
